Admissions Policy and Application Forms
All children in Bradford are admitted into the EYFS (Reception) Class in the academic year in which they are five. All children begin school in September.

In the November before your child starts school, an online Common Application Form (CAF) will be available from Bradford Council. This form gives you the opportunity to name five schools you would like your child to attend, in preference order. Information about applying for a school place for September 2022 will be available shortly.
Idle CE (A) Primary School has an admission limit of 60 and all applications for admissions are dealt with by the Governors Admissions Committee at school in conjunction with the Local Authority Admissions Team. If there are more than 60 requests for places then the Admissions Policy is applied to all applications.
Please note that parents heard from Bradford Council via email on 16 April 2021 to confirm which school their child was allocated.

The deadline for Appeals for Admission to School in September 2021 should be returned to the Local Authority by Monday 17th May 2021.
All parents will be given at least 14 days written notice where an appeal hearing is to be held remotely by telephone or video link. Otherwise appeals will be heard as soon as is reasonably possible and parents will be provided with a timetable for submitting written information.
Decision letters will be sent within 7 days of the determination by the panel of an appeal.
Appeals received by the deadline date will be heard within 40 school days during June, July and by 7th September 2021 at the latest, in accordance with the Schools Appeals Code of Practice.

Should you wish to enquire about an in-year transfer, please complete the In-year transfer form below in addition to the Supplementary Information Form contained within the Admissions Policy and return both forms to school.
Visits to school are positively welcomed (under normal circumstances, please note that during the pandemic this may not be possible). Please contact our School Business Manager via firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01274 410111 to arrange a mutual appointment.
If you would like to register your child for admission into Idle CE (A) Primary School, please download an application pack and return it directly to school once completed.
The were no changes to the Admissions Policy for 2020/21.
Public Consultation was therefore not required.
Changes to the Admissions Policy for 2021/22 were followed by a period of public Consultation which ended on 05/12/19. There were no objections to the changes. July 2020: In light of Covid-19, the Governors are seeking a variation to the Admissions Policy for 2021/22.
