Summer Reading Challenge

Have you heard about the Summer Reading Challenge?

Wild World Heroes launches on Saturday 10 July

An information sheet was sent home with the children on Tuesday 6th.

The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children from 4 to 12 years to read for enjoyment during the school summer holidays. It’s free to join and only requires a library ticket.

The FUN starts on Saturday 10th July at all libraries throughout the Bradford district.

How does it work? Pop down to your local library, ask to join the Wild World Heroes Summer Reading Challenge 2021, show your library card, give your name and school.

You’re ready to be a Wild World Hero. Or if you use the Order and Collect service to request books, just mention over the phone/email along with your name and school.

You can read ANY library books you like. Children who join will receive a Wild World Heroes kit bag, complete with reading poster to record the books read, stickers and bookmark, and will be awarded a Wild World Heroes Certificate and Medal in September via your school. And this year's theme - 'Wild World Heroes' - will inspire children to explore ways of caring for our planet and the environment. For more information and updates visit www.bradford.gov.uk/libraries
