Today we have planted a blossom tree next to Elmer to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.  We have chosen a flowering cherry tree which we have planted close to Elmer, outside of school and are happy to be a part of the ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’ campaign. The ceremony involved 14 children, one from each class, who had been drawn out of the hat in front of the whole school and everyone added some soil. The children watched a live stream of the event whilst in class. Reverend Jim then blessed our tree.
